Your Heart, Your Life

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I’m packing my bags, I go into this state of undecided mania! My mind goes…will I need this? Do I need that? Should I bring one of those? Or two of those? Do I need these shoes, or those shoes? Do I need all my shower stuff? My mind is much more than a hot mess, it’s an undecided mess!
It doesn’t matter if it’s baggage—your heart-indecision doesn’t help either. The clarity of vision in your mind is directly comparable to the effectiveness of your actions. A decided heart is unwavering in the face of challenges and setbacks, and propels us toward a lifetime of great fulfillment. More people fail at checking their baggage because of an undecided heart then for any other reason. We have all done it. We ask everyone what they think: up, down, left, right…and our life becomes a life of analysis. The purpose for analysis is to come to a conclusion, not live to analyze. So many of us spend so much time analyzing that we have no energy left to take action!
Many people would rather hold on to their safe baggage then attempt to make the right decision, or any decision at all. Fear wins.
A decided heart is how we make decisions, and how we behave after our decision is made. It has nothing to do with action or persistence.
The analysis grind never ends. The information gathering runs downhill and never stops. There are questions that cannot be answered, but decisions can still be made. The problem with the wishy-washy mind set is that you will never make the decision to check your baggage. Checking your baggage is a definite decision and you must have a decided heart.
When you exhibit a decided heart and commit yourself to have a decided heart, you will never be the same.
Bottom Line: Your heart, your life. A person who has a decided heart owns their decisions. Most people fall short at whatever they attempt because of an undecided heart. Success requires the emotional balance of a committed heart. When confronted with a challenge, the committed heart will search for a solution. The undecided heart will search for an escape.
Tool: Create a vision board with pictures of your life goals. Only place them on your board if you are 100 percent decided in your heart.
Unpack:
Journal a list of goals you have for this lifetime-big and small.
What new adventure do you want to embark on?
What new skill set do you need to achieve your goals?
